Nowhere to Run: Karen villagers under attack from Airstrikes and Artillery Karen people have resisted over 70 years of Burma Military violence and oppression. Since the February 1st coup, the military has carried out a brutal crackdown of protestors and killed hundreds across the country. At the same time, they have intensified their offensives in ethnic areas, including in Karen territories where airstrikes and shelling have killed dozens of people, and displaced 70,000. Villagers have run to find safety wherever they can in the jungle, in caves, and along the border with Thailand. This short film highlights the struggle of the Karen IDPs in Mutraw district.
